“He lives, and because He lives, we also live.”
We began the month of April with the observance of Holy Week. During this time, many families who have the means travel to enjoy the beaches in the northern part of the country. Likewise, churches dedicate this season to commemorating the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, celebrating with traditions, culture, and local cuisine.
We thank God for the dedication of Alex and Mariana, who faithfully serve in Sunday School and in the children’s meal program. We know that it is God who gives them the wisdom to guide these children. We continue moving forward thanks to your support and prayers.
Since the beginning of the year, we have been facing a difficult situation in our community, as the road in front of our Vida Nueva ministry was torn up and is currently a dirt road. The dust has been affecting the health of children, teachers, and parents. We trust in God that this situation will improve soon and that the appropriate authorities will begin paving this section of the road.
We are pleased to share that our school’s PTA has been organized. We are grateful for the efforts of the PTA and all the parents who support our institution, contributing to projects that improve the school.
Our students have also demonstrated a strong spirit of compassion. They organized a small fundraiser, setting aside part of their snack money each day to help Dylan, a young boy who lives with a neurological condition that causes frequent seizures.
It has truly been a blessed month filled with many activities. We held a community cleanup day around the ministry, collecting bottles for recycling. To close the month, we kicked off our soccer season and celebrated a victory in our first game.
We encourage you to continue supporting our ministry through your prayers and generosity.
Blessings,
Dilia
