Dear Friends,
We continue trusting that God holds us firmly in His hands, faithfully sustaining this ministry and every life it touches.
We are grateful to share that a new school year is underway! We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our 12 dedicated teachers who have embraced the challenge of investing in the lives of our 137 students, ranging from kindergarten through ninth grade. Each Wednesday, our students gather for a devotional time where we emphasize both spiritual and moral values. Our guiding verse remains: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
Our school calendar continues to be full of meaningful activities and celebrations. This March, we had the joy of celebrating Father’s Day. Several fathers joined us on campus, sharing a special time together and enjoying a meal with their children. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family involvement in a child’s life.
We also hosted an awareness activity to teach our students the importance of valuing and appreciating one another. In recognition of Down Syndrome Awareness Day, everyone wore colorful, mismatched socks as a symbol that we are all unique yet equal in God’s eyes.
Our children’s feeding program continues to be a vital part of the ministry. We currently serve 25 children from Monday through Thursday, providing them with nutritious meals along with the opportunity to hear and grow in God’s Word.
Additionally, our small chicken farm is thriving! We are now collecting around 30 eggs daily, which help provide food for the children. These eggs are often used to prepare baleadas, a traditional Honduran dish made with flour tortillas, beans, eggs, cheese, avocado, butter, chorizo, and more. Sister Mariana, along with the children living in the home, faithfully care for the farm and are learning responsibility and valuable life skills.
