December is a much-anticipated month for many of us. As we celebrate Christmas, an important question arises: Why do we celebrate? While we may not know the exact date of Jesus Christ’s birth, we know—and cannot ignore—that He came into this world as our Savior. Through Him, we have been given a calling to share the Gospel with the nations. During this Christmas season, let us remember that Jesus is the greatest gift we have received—and the greatest gift we can share.
This spirit of love and dedication is clearly seen in the work of Ministries of Faith New Life. Since 2003, the ministry has supported and guided many young people, helping them grow both academically and spiritually.
One powerful example is the story of Jenny Domitila Cartagena, shared in her own words:
“My story begins in 2014, when I came to visit and stay with my siblings who were already living at Ministries of Faith. I had been living with my grandmother, but it was difficult for her to provide me with an education, so she entrusted me to the care of the staff at Ministries of Faith.I began my studies in the third grade of elementary school and, in 2023, I graduated from high school. In 2024, I was given the opportunity to work at the Christian school within the ministry, which was a great blessing. This year, in 2025, I began working at a financial institution, and I am thankful for this new opportunity.
I am deeply grateful to Ministries of Faith New Life and to everyone who played a role in my education, including American brothers and sisters who hold a special place in my heart. I will always remember every act of support and every moment I experienced there.”
